NSF 2023 Community College Innovation Challenge Winners (feat. Central Wyoming College)
NSF, in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges, has selected 12 teams to advance to the final round of the Community College Innovation Challenge, set to take place in June 2023.
Builder Platform – $9.5M opportunity to support NSF Engines
NSF is seeking one or more organizations to develop, launch and run a Builder Platform to support the anticipated NSF Regional Innovation Engines, or NSF Engines, awardees. The three-year Builder Platform contract will be a central component of the NSF Engines program, functioning as a human-centered network of support structures and offerings that will empower the NSF Engines with the tools, skills, networks and access to capital needed to thrive and attain success. The team running the platform will be responsible for providing the tailored support networks and offerings needed by and vital to the growth of individual NSF Engines.
New Report Identifies Engineering Research Priorities for Sustainable Transportation Networks
A new visioning report from the Engineering Research Visioning Alliance (ERVA) considers 12 “big ideas” in transportation infrastructure, vehicles and transportation modes, data, and people and communities to prioritize for engineering research investment to advance progress toward more sustainable, equitable transportation systems. Given transportation’s central role in society, boldly re-envisioning how all modes can benefit current and future generations is a compelling priority. Engineering-led research will take a central role in shifting transportation from an obstacle to negotiate to a quality-enhancing experience.
