Episode 2 of Science Works Here features Dr. Robert “Scott” Seville, parasitologist and longtime University of Wyoming (UW) professor who recently retired after 23 years with the Wyoming IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (Wyoming INBRE), including 11 years as director and principal investigator.
Under his leadership, the program strengthened biomedical research and education across Wyoming’s colleges and universities by expanding opportunities for students and faculty, funding research projects, increasing access to advanced equipment, and providing additional resources to support scientific discovery and workforce development.
Dr. Seville also served as head of UW’s Department of Zoology and Physiology, senior associate dean of the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources, president of the National Association of IDeA Principal Investigators (NAIPI), and a member of the EPSCoR/IDeA Foundation (EIF) Board of Directors, helping advocate for the IDeA community at the national level.
