Ccic2023

NSF, in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges, has selected 12 teams to advance to the final round of the Community College Innovation Challenge, set to take place in June 2023.

CCIC, now in its seventh year, seeks to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking among community college students by challenging them to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. It also enables students to discover and demonstrate their capacity to use STEM to make a difference in the world and to translate that knowledge into action.

The team representing the NSF EPSCoR jurisdictions is:

  • Central Wyoming College (WYOMING) New Voices in Climate is a diverse group of Indigenous community college students using innovative technologies to collect, map and analyze critical temperature, barometric pressure and relative humidity data from Wyoming's Wind River Reservation.
