ALASKA: EPSCoR grad student published in Nature Scientific Reports

University of Alaska-Fairbanks grad student Hannah Myers used a 2021 Alaska EPSCoR travel award to travel to Seward and Homer to further her research into killer whale vocalizations, including redeploying hydrophones and undertaking vessel surveys. Her work, “Passive acoustic monitoring of killer whales (Orcinus orca) reveals year-round distribution and residency patterns in the Gulf of Alaska” was published in Nature Scientific Reports.
