Council of NSF EPSCoR Project Directors

The mission of the Council of NSF EPSCoR Project Directors (CPD) is to serve as a bridge between the NSF EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII) Track 1 project directors and the NSF EPSCoR Program office.

The CPD’s objectives are to:

  • provide community input to the development and the evolution of the NSF EPSCoR Program.
  • increase the communication among the project directors.
  • provide a forum for discussion of issues related to the implementation of the EPSCoR program in EPSCoR jurisdictions, and to maintain a depository of best practices.
  • identify areas of common interests in which cooperation and collaboration among programs may prove beneficial, and to develop mechanisms to accomplish such cooperation.

Voting members of the CPD are the Project Directors of active NSF EPSCoR Track-1 projects from each jurisdiction identified by the official list of project directors maintained by the NSF EPSCoR Office.

The CPD is coordinated by an Executive Committee that consists of a Chair, a First Vice-Chair, a Second Vice-Chair, and two at-large members.  The Executive Committee members are elected from among the voting members of the CPD.

The CPD is governed by a set of by-laws that can be found here.

The CPD meets twice a year, in May and in November. The November meeting is held in conjunction with the national EPSCoR meeting when it is held (in odd-numbered years). The meetings of the CPD are documented via minutes that can found in [the sidebar].
