Dr. Laura Jenski is Vice President for Research at The University of South Dakota, where she oversees the university’s sponsored programs office, technology transfer and economic development functions, and research compliance offices.  She received her Ph.D. in Oncology and postdoctoral training in immunology from the University of Wisconsin.  Dr. Jenski held faculty appointments at Children’s Hospital Research Foundation/University of Cincinnati, Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis, and Marshall University where she was Head of Biological Sciences and EPSCoR Campus Coordinator.  Her research on structural and functional roles of omega-3 fatty acids in tumor immunity was funded by National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, American Institute for Cancer Research and various other organizations.  Dr. Jenski is Senior Associate Editor for Lipids, and member of the executive committee of the Council on Research Policy and Graduate Education of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.
